Low Slow Flow (33)
One instructor always tells us to breathe with a low, slow flow...I was pretty chill and relaxed today. Maybe I didn't work hard enough. I have been-a-cheatin on my detox. LOL Sometimes I think that detox is a bit much as I try to really immerse myself into the Bikram. I need more calories ( probably not M&M calories mind you....) Does any one have any dietary suggestions for someone wanting to shed some pounds. Any book or plan recommendations? I want to be mostly vegetarian but not so high carb that I start to gain. Help....

I have no real useful advice or tips, but I try to avoid sugary things and anything processed, stick to whole grains and get lots of fruits and vegetables into my diet. I do better with more protein, and even though I'm not vegetarian, I eat a lot of lentils and beans--they have good fiber too. Nuts and seeds are good too. People get scared of the the high calories in them, but their fats are healthy and satisfying--so you don't get hungry again so fast. During my challenge, I quit trying to restrict food intake because I got so hungry. Its hard!
